GTA/ Moronto area M14 lovers:

I'm running a short range (100m) practice at CFB Borden for the ORA on Sat 24 April all day . Yes, I'll be there running the range as the Range Safety Officer. Here is an opportunity to bring your M14 out to shoot at Borden's Langemark Range and have me check out your M14 and it's tweaks. ;) I cannot actively tweak them, since I am the safety officer, but during the breaks we can yak, teach, discuss, brag, whatever. :rolleyes:

Free advice and coaching around the M14 platform is what you get for the $ 25 guest fee, that goes to the ORA. Consider this a casual invite for you non-members of the ORA who always thought about what things are like shooting as a civvie on a DND Range. :cool:

Members , you already know I'm going to be there and this practice for you members is FREE! :D

Anyways, the offer is open to come, pay the $ 25 guest fee, practice, sight in, socialize around your M14. Let me know if you want me to bring my M14 Clinic tools out. You might be interested in joining the ORA and shoot beyond the 100m range sometime in the future. ;)

Just a plug for the ORA: We have 3 events going on... Mons Range, Amiens Range and Langemark Range with me there. So if you ever wondered what it's like to shoot at Borden.... Who knows? :D

The young lad and I would have attended with ours but SWMBO says we are going to Grannies, but at least we get to go after groundhogs.
 
I went today and the first three rounds out of my Norinco m14 were these. I was happy. :)

Barney I'm on course at Borden this coming summer. I won't have wheels to get home on the weekends so I may be available to assist with ranges and I'd definetly like to get out and shoot now and then.

Only problem is going to be where to keep the rifles since I'm sure I'll be shacking it.
 
Claven2, I was just in Ottawa/ Smith's Falls in March. :D Seriously now, we have a ... whoops, that was cancelled. We were going to be in Connaught for 15-16 May weekend, a Service Rifle match, but we lost the range. :rolleyes:
