What's the technical issue with Fabarm SAT-8 ?

I recall a post indicating some issues when lighter loads are used. Is this shotgun unrealiable when you shoot 7.5 size birdshot, for example ?

If this is sthe case, what's the ideal load to ensure proper cycling ?

The shotgun looks cool and has higher capacity than Benelli M4 ( 4 only ? ).

Who has any experience with SAT-8 ?

The search function does not yield any post about it.

They function extremely well I have got up to 1100 rds through mine without cleaning it and never had a malfunction yet. I use it all the time, best shotgun I ever bought. Now I use it as a demo for my Arma-Coat Coating system.

To be honest, some SAT8s do not like light loads. It funtions great when you use loads 1 1/4 oz or better.

OK, that's the issue. If 1 1/4 oz is a cycling margin, it should not be a big problem.

Now, the question is if the safe margin is such that SAT-8 requires heavier loads considerably higher than 1 1/4 oz. In that case SAT-8 would be "half of a shotgun" as you can't mass plink with birdshot. At least not cheaply.

What is the technical reason for this inability to cycle with lighter loads, and is this "handicap" a function of certain serial number range ( meaning maybe some older or newer models have no such problem) ?

How does SAT-8 perform with slugs and buckshot anyways ?

Also, how's the Fabarm's customer service for repairs/replacement ?

Well I'm obviously biased and think we offer great service and support.

However, I hope someone else will pipe in here...

You should have no problems with anything 1 1/4 oz or heavier. Regardless of what the shot is.

Recently I have used alot of slugs and 000buck no problems again. You have me curious now, I will try mine which is well worn in with a bunch of AA trap and see what happens. I will post back after the holidays and tell you what happens to mine.
