Saturday morning female coyote

That's gotta be a hot spot for ya Frank. I've seen that field before in your pics... I think.

Congrats! Hope to get out this weekend for my first time this year.

Not sure about it being a hot spot but you definitely seen a few dead coyotes in this field :)

When do you find is the more productive time? At first light or before dusk? Also, do you always start with the dying rabbit? How do you start the calling? thanks

I like morning hunts better only because I can get more stands in, evening only allows me to do one. Both can be productive, the more stands you do, the better the odds.
Most of the time I start off with a soft dying rabbit and get louder as the time goes on. I through a howl in there sometimes as well. There is no "for sure" sound or sequence. The wind is your best friend or worst enemy when it comes to coyote hunting.
Make sure the wind is in your favour (blowing across your face or in your face). Most coyotes that are fresh (not call shy) will come in on the path that offers the easiest path. I think only coyotes that are call shy want to double check what's going on and get downwind.
