Regarding the use of Range 6 at Sharon Gun Club.

I was told from one of the regular IPSC Rifle shooters at Sharon that if I wanted to try it out one Saturday, I could bring a box of .223 down in the morning and they would give me a little time to see what it is all about, since there is no formal course.

Few questions.

-Instead of, or along with getting some .223, would I allowed to bring my M1 Garand to the range? I have some experience with it from a fun shoot at Base Borden, from 100 to 300 meters. It has a sling and 8 en-blocks, but no bandolier.

Second, what time would I go there to get there to help with setup or shooting?

Seems like since I almost through most of my basic qualifications, this would be the next neat thing to do.

Thanks.

Kevin.

Things start at around 11am.
You would have to check the schedule on the Sharon web. They alternate between shotgun and riffle. So only 2 times a month they set up for riffle.

The Garand is a fun rifle for the saturday matches but a bit large comapred to the ARs, but I use mine sometimes since I can. No slings allowed, could become hooked on vision barriers and cause loss of muzzle control or to break 90 of down range. Try it out though lots of fun and the gentlemen that run it do a fantastic job and must be commended for it .
