I have an opportunity to acquire a Sauer 202 full stock rifle [ 308 cal. ].......lately I have been attracted to full-stock rifles and am wondering if there is anybody out there that can tell me anything about this rifle [ pro's or con's ]......especially accuracy ......can I reasonably expect 1 inch @ 100 yards with select factory loads ......input greatly appreciated ........thank you

They are well made & precise rifles. My brother has 2 in the standard stock configuration. Unlike most other full stock rifles, the Sauer 202 Stutzen has a two piece stocks and the fore end does not put pressure on the barrel. Accuracy should be as good as their "half stock" rifle. You will not be disappointed!

I had a 202 Stutzen in 30-06 , 20" barrel, that I bought new a couple of years ago, had grade 4 wood, great fit and finish as you would expect, good groups with the single set trigger. When topped with good glass in QD mounts, a full mag and a lightweight sling it weighed in at about 9.5 lbs, about .5 lbs lighter than my 375 H&H Cooper in a similar setup. It handled reasonably well, but my idea of a full stocked, short barreled rifle being quick handling and easy to carry went out the window, nice, accurate but heavy rifle, I passed it on, and I see it has changed hands at least twice since.
