I picked up almost new Sauer 202 Wolverine in 308Win in Italian sporting goods.
The rifle has heavy stock and heavy barrel. I am newer in shooting but I would consider this rifle as precision long range rifle.
Does any one have any experience with Wolverine? I put Leupold 6.5-20x50 on it and was able to hit 12" gong on 500 yards.

I don't have any experiance with the wolverine but I do have a Sauer Rifle. You have picked up one of the finest rifles made today. It should be a tackdriver and a pleasure to own. A very very nice rifle. Congrats.

Hey T,

Nice rig, I think you're all set. I got your pm and I'll arrange something real soon. As long as it's not pouring out I'll be going this weekend, maybe Sat. Are you ready to bang a 6" gong at 630yd?
No problem :)

I bought a bunch of the same ammo you mentioned, and I think it'll be up to the task. Save the brass, it's good stuff.

I'll pm you later in the week when I'm organized.

I have a 202 classic with wood stock in .243. I worked up a good load for it and really like the rifle. I don't have the proper tools to take it apart yet. Take care, Cheers Roscoe

Well I for one hate you, I have been debating plunking down the money for a Wolverine (Jagd Match back in the day) for a few years, but the delivery time and cost keeps making me shy away. The wrap hides that beautiful wood, shame. Arrrrg, me wanty....

I have a sauer 200 heavy barrel hunter/target model in 7.62x51. It has a wood stock. It isn't a take down model.

that tape is sticky and in future it gums up with the stock. I know cause i had that tape on one of my rifle.
never get wet or store in demp place with that thing on. hope you find a perfect load for that rifle and enjoy at long range!

Mine is still new in the box, never go around to using it. I built some remington 40x repeaters on macmillan stocks with winchester trigger guards in 7.62x51 and 5.56.
