go up the searchmont hyw about 1/2 up on the right just over train tracks there is a nice flat gravle pit at lleast 500m long.
used to shoot there all the time, as did the opp.
or you can go another 5 k, take northland lake roads up the hils about 3k till you get to the top, just before the road goes very quickly down hill turn right into a very large loging road.
park car at gate and walk in, its been a few years but i use to live on that lake and you have as much room as you like.
Or as others have said, go up whitman dam rd, park at one of the camping spots along the river, walk or take a 4wheeler across the low spots before the falls, lots of room to shoot, just watch out for the hippys and campers.
