Savage® Axis XP price for .308

I've been watching the price of Savage® Axis XP .308 for the last 6 months and it's constantly at $499 and there are no sales. Should I just buy it or is it smart to wait for a price drop?

I have seen a few used on the EE. There was one in .308 a little while ago for $300 and it was like new. Keep an eye on that.
 
Prairie Gun Traders has one in Mossy Oak Camo with the scope package for 469.00
I found they usually have a decent selection and are usually priced just below most others.
 
I paid $350 last year synthetic and stainless no scope fwiw. Wait for a sale. It will come, probably the day after you cave in and get one.
