Savage 10 BA -- first handloads, 308 Win

100 yards isn't enough to judge the load's accuracy. What looks great at 100 might not look so good at 300.

Im new to reloading my self, but it seems by just trying diffrent recipies and diffrent components your not going to get any where. You should be doing ladder test to find a load that compliments your barrel harmonics. Theres lots of diffrent info out there discribing how to do a ladder test, so I wont bother talking through the steps. But I deffinatly think you need to look into it.

Hi guys. Its been a while since my last visit to the range, but I found some time this morning to test out a few recipes.

Things are starting to tighten up. Here are my last two 3-shot groups at 100 yards, using 3-times fired Win brass (neck sized only), and I am still using a Harris bipod:

The barrel now has exactly 308 rounds down it, and I haven't cleaned it in 90 rounds.
