I don't believe it's an issue of "sniper rifles" not belonging to a "Percision Rifle" forum, nor has it been presented as such in the context of this thread.
In regards to the S.I.Q. (Savage in Quesion)
the debate is not regarding its potential accuracy but the suitability for the purpose it is being marketed for. With that in mind, this gimick laden, over-priced abomination is truly for the "poser", "mall ninja", "tacticool" crowd and has little true merrit as a tactical or police issue rifle. If one were to look at this specific model OBJECTIVELY without bringing brand loyalties into your argument, it wouldn't take long to come to the conclusion that the HS & McMillan stocked rifles are more suitable in a law enforcement environment than the "New!" model being offered.
Don't believe me? Then ask for opinions on some of the more advanced websites that specialize in field shooting and tactical rifles. The commentary you will receive there will be far more colourful than anything you will encounter here.
