I am currently looking at a local Savage 10 .308 for sale (not on forums).
It has what it appears to be an M24 fiberglass stock (brand unknown, HS or McMillan probably?) not a cheaper plastic accustock.
I am interested as it could make a nice bush rifle with a 3-15 NXS sfp on top.
But, I am sitting on a pile of AICS mags here (got at least 6 or 7), and this used Savage takes savage mags.
Don't feel like paying 100$+ for 10 rounders when I already have a bunch including an MDT 12 rounder.
How much of a process is it to add a bottom metal?
If it's a pain, does savage have a classic stock style lineup (M24 style but in fiberglass) already with AICS bottom metal?
The latest FCP and TR line-ups do have a classic stock on them with AICS bottoms, but are plastic with an aluminium bedding, which I have owned, and flexes really bad when you load the bipod.
