Hey folks,

I have a buddy that purchased a savage 10 in .223. It is a HB model and has a choate varmint stock. Im kind of confused, because he is telling me that the dealer that sold it to him "used" said that savage sold a model 10 that came from the factory with this choate stock.

I have not found any record of that any where was the dealer pulling a fast one.... I know that my buddy is a little disappointed with the accuracy wich appears to be slightly sub moa.

Im just kind of currious, TKS

Their police line came with a choate. Did for years. Not sure if they still use it but it was regular practice. Probably a few years older.

using my research skills (Google) I was able to find similar posts from 2009 and it seems like it was a factory option...

"Cabela's has been running a special on the Choate Tactical .308 made by Savage and I am in the market for a new bolt-action after I sold my old one. I want a .308 and really like the AccuStock concept... Any thoughts on what the difference are between these two models?"

"Yeah if I was reading the right description on the Savage site, I think that Choate tactical was almost 11 pounds. That is heavy for spot and stalk."
