savage 10 or 12

hi there i am planing on buying a long range target rifle, i'm a lefty and i have pretty much decided on a savage. here is my question are the only differences between the 10flp and 12 series the barrel length 24 vs 26 and the finish blued vs matte, i plan on changing the stock and painting the rifle.for optics i am leaning towards the bushnell 6-24X50 tactical but don't know much about bases and rings.any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I prefer the 10 series. Flat blued steel, and no silly useless flutes. And it's available with HS and MacMillan stocks

Don't sweat the 2" barrel difference.

thx but they don't offer the aftermarket stocks on lefty versions
