Check out True North Arms, they have a nice selection of reasonably priced muzzle devices.
Also, $7 shipping.
I just bought a Maple Ridge Armoury Rock Solid Muzzle Brake for my 10 TR, it was under $100.
Before I buy that tomorrow, how is that brake?
Might as well buy the real one at the price these clones sell for...
haha i was just about to ask this, I bought my Savage 10TR last week. Was going to go with the spatha tactical muzzle brake
Matador Arms Hammerhead. Seems to work fine but what do I know as it's the first brake I have owned.
Oh and made in Canada

Canadian "company" yes... but not made in .
Thanks for the correction. I have deleted that part.
Maybe someone can school me on this, but I think the reason the brake I purchased doesn't seem to have much effect is because it is/was designed for a gas gun...AR10 etc. Is there a difference between a brake designed primarily for a .308 gas gun and a brake designed for a .308 bolt gun?
What brake is it?
They should perform similar on either type of rifle firing the same load. The main effectiveness of a brake is how tight to the bore diameter the brake is bored out, and how much surface area there is to redirect gas.
Other factors like barrel length and how "hot" the load is can also come into play a bit.
For a bolt gun shooting off a bench, I stay away from anything with top ports as it tends to introduce unwanted forces. Just side ports, bored as tight to the bore as possible.
I picked up "The Hammerhead" AR-10 Muzzle break from colonelmustard.
