The older ones are still around I believe in places, they have camo stock and metal mags and I believe the new ones coming in are black with plastic/metal mags! Correct me if I am wrong! The sr model is Better imo but extra mags are non existent in Canada. As far as accuracy goes both will be the same so it comes down to personal preference.
I have the older 10fcp-k model and I like it just as much as the newer ones and it shoots sub moa with hand loads all day long. But if I hand to buy over again I would go with the sr just for my preference.
I'm thinking about the savage fcp-sr or the savage scout.
If their mags are 10 round capacity do they have to be limited to 5?
Got a fcp-sr a few days ago and i have nothing but complaints about it.
The mag won't hold more then 8rnds (it fits 10 but they pop out)
The thing does not eject shells well
And if all goes well it won't chamber a round if I cycle too fast (the head gets caught on the reciver)
And I don't know if this was me or not but it shoots really low when bore sighted. (A good 3ft at 100yds)
Going to see if cabelas will give me a new rifle or my money back but im with out a receipt because it was a online order I highly doubt it.
It looks nice....
The receipt should be in the outer box or taped to it, they include return shipping postage and label in the box too, you have to call them first so they put it in the system as being returned!Got a fcp-sr a few days ago and i have nothing but complaints about it.

I own two pre-accura trigger Savages I bought in the late 90's and while they shoot sub-moa I have to really keep on top of cleaning them..I had the older version of the fcp-sr, it wasn't particularly accurate.
A look down the barrel revealed some horrifying barrel finishing. Last savage I owned.
