So I finally got my new 10ba out to play today and I only have one complaint.
This accutrigger can kiss my 100 % canadian white hairy behind. I have never swore so much in my life. It is set light when it does fire which is nice however you never know when its actually going to fire or just click.

which i guess is nice because it eliminates flinching cuz you have no idea when it will fire.

Anyone else having issues or am I the only one who cant correctly pull a trigger? Any tips?

Pull straight back, don't put any tension on the side. Mine would do the same on my 12BVSS when set very light, then realized what was happening and a straight pull fixed it. If it keeps happening, put a little more weight on it and the problem should disappear.

If you want it to go away for good, get a better trigger. I bought a Rifle Basix SAV-2 and love it.

accu-trigger

I experiencd the same problem. Try "running" the screw in and out a few times. check for any rough surfaces on the stamped steel. Its a smooth system when this glitch is fixed.

Where are you putting your finger on the trigger? A lot of people put their finger right at the bottom and that doesn’t push in the center safety all the way.

I have rifles with both the accutrigger and the target accutrigger. I have never had the safety catch other then when I was testing if I could make it catch.

Good luck and have fun with your new rifle!

Thanks all for the help, I tried pulling everywhere. Ill have a close look at it and mess with it a bit. Man it was frustrating hearing click click click 9 times in a row then i wouldnt be ready and try it again and boom. ha ha, good thing it hardly kicks at all.

Did you ever solve this ?I'm having the same issues, sometimes the accu-part (silver piece) is rock hard and I can't pull the trigger, sometimes I hear a "click" as soon as I put pressure on the accu-part ( the gun doesn't fire) and every once in a while , it fires.
The gun is new and the first 30 or so rounds fired no problem, and this started happening and getting worse to the point I packed up the gun and put it away out of sheer frustration when out shooting today.

You can't be aggressive when handling the bolt while the trigger is set on the light side, or this will happen.

I bought my 10BA 3 weeks ago and have put about 150 rounds through it.
Mine was set at around 2lbs. and it has always gone bang.
Today was the first time I shot with it outdoors and the first time shooting it at any distance greater than 50m
I got a 0.250" 3 round group at 100yds and a 0.833" group at 200yds.
I only had 25 rounds with me and light was fading fast.
I also forgot to bring a rear bag with me.

I have a 110BA and never had a problem with the accutrigger. I took the rifle apart to try and adjust and lo and behold it was already adjusted as light as it would go. I also found that the trigger would always trip when pulled strait back. I have heard of many people pulling the trigger on an angle and having it lock up, I have tried this too and have not been able to duplicate the issue. Only if I pull the trigger without fully pulling back the safety sear will it trip but not fire.

Old bump.

Trigger was set wrong from the factory. With the trigger adjustment tool it was an easy fix. Blows my mind that Savage would release a 2k dollar gun with an unsafe trigger pull.

Whatever.

I had the same problem with my 10BA when I took it to the range the first time. I have a Savage .17HMR with an Accutrigger, but I never had any issues with it, although it is not set near as light as the 10BA trigger.

The trigger on my 10BA was set very light as well. I found if my finger touched any part of the main trigger before depressing the silver Accutrigger detent, I would hear a click, as the trigger/firing group had gone into safety. Which is part of the designed function of the Accutrigger.

You have to make sure your finger contacts the center silver Accutrigger safety release first, then depress it straight back, before making any contact with the main trigger. Otherwise it will always go into safe mode.

I found once I got the correct straight pull back trigger pull motion repeated (which is the correct way to pull any trigger), I did not have any issues with the light Accutrigger setting.

Fixed !! Thanks alot guys ! Like MagnumPeanut said, hard to believe they leave the factory like that, but it's all good now, 40/40 dryfires with no issues ! I'm a happy camper again
