savage 10BAS-K savage 10BAT S/K info needed

Good day folks. I am about to pull the proverbial trigger on a savage 10BA - (.308) in either bas-k or bat S/K dress. My questions are as follows:

What are the main differences between the bas-k and bat s/k?
Both being chambered in .308

And

What / where is the best price currently for either rifle you've confirmed? (I know cabelas had them for 1500 ealier - but this is no more).

The difference is in the buttstock. One version uses an M4 (AR) style collapsible stock and the other uses a more target shooting oriented stock with more adjustment areas ( cheek riser, length, buttplate).

Prices seem to have dropped to about the $1500 level, trick now is to find one.
