Savage 10FP-LE bolt question.

Hello all,

I have a Savage 10FP-LE in .308 Winchester and have a question about the bolt. When I remove the bolt from the receiver the rear baffle assembly (identified piece in the picture) is loose. It does not come off but it is wobbly. Is this normal? Should I contact the warrantee centre? When the bolt is inserted and fully closed the looseness is gone. Any info is appreciated.

As long as it stays on the bolt you are fine. The only purpose it serves it to block gases from your face if there is a case rupture.

The part has some play it is not sloppy, it also has a cam at the bottom of it for extracting the fired case.
