Is this the right place for this gun? I'm thinking of taking one in trade but know little about them. What are they worth with a cheap Simmons scope? Do people like them? Could I sell it quickly cause I probably won't keep it.

I like mine, I'd take it over a 700 any day. Especially when I consider the special deal that north sylva offered on them initially.
 
They are generally regarded as a great precision rifle and competes well against higher priced rifles like the 700 and others. I have two friends that shoot them competitively and have great results. There are better rifles but at higher prices. Street prices for used version will vary depending on accessories. New versions sell for around $700 plus tax/shipping. So a used one would be around $600-$650 shipped. Mags have been the hardest part to source for my friends so take that into account if you need more mags/capacity. If I wanted to get into the precision game and needed to buy a competitive rifle at a reasonable price, this would be the one I buy.
 
I love mine, I have had it for about 3 years and wouldn't give it up. Sits in a Cadex chassis now and is easily a under 1 MOA gun if you do your part. Pitch the scope and add a nicer one in time and you will love it too
 
I just shot mine this past weekend. 3 , 5 round groups ,.720, .820, .915. I'm happy with that so far.
150 Nosler and varget.
That was the first and only set of reloads, so far.
