savage 11/111 bth

11 is short action, 111 is long action. Other than the stock, the rifle is the same as all the other 11/111. I have the 111 in 270 and like it just fine, accurate, smooth bolt. I have the same stock on my 22 mag and find that it is one of the nicest feeling and fitting stocks I have ever used. It will add weight to the rifle so keep that in mind if you want to use it for hunting.

I just bought a lightly used 11 in .243, so far with snap caps the action is quite smooth and to me the trigger feels nice, non accutrigger.
At the range a few years back I have helped sight in a new 111 in 30-06 and another new 111 in 7mm mag. In both cases the scopes they came with failed on the first trip to the range, so I can't report on accuracy. Both had accutriggers.
I found the action and triggers on both slick and crisp.
The 30-06 was rather nice to shoot in spite of the light weight, while I found the 7mm mag unpleasant to shoot.
I'm looking forward to taking mine out for a try.
About the only concern for me so far is the plastic trigger guard on mine, I'm not a fan of how it flexes with a trigger lock so I have switched to using a cable lock through the mag well and action now.
