Sorry if im continuing this quasi necro, but my wife just bought her first hunting rifle, a 11/111 lady hunter in .270, today. All I wanted to add is that if you're on the fence on a lightweight hunter that's still sporting an $800ish price tag, you may want to jump on it as that's 2014/15 pricing. New rifles are retailing for 1100 plus.
