Hello everybody. I just wanted to put a post up about how I solved an ejecting issue on my Savage 11 .223. It would eject properly when I pulled the bolt back slowly but if I pulled it with any kind of speed the extractor would lose grip on the brass and it would not eject, so the ejector was working fine just not the extractor. I read somewhere to try a larger detent ball between the extractor itself and the extractor spring. I found a 20 pack of the larger ball bearings (9/64) on amazon and just installed one. It worked! When I pull the bolt back at any speed it is ejecting properly now every time. If anyone in the Edmonton area is having this same issue I have 19 extra 9/64 ball bearings available if you want to try that before ordering a whole ejector/extractor kit.

I've done the same with a larger ball bearing on all my Savage model 10 & 11 bolt actions. Not sure why Savage wouldn't just do this from the factory as it seems to be a common issue. Haven't had any ejection issues with any of them since.
