Savage 110 bear hunter 375 ruger..anyone have one?

Been watching for a stainless 375hh in a remington 700 for a bit now but cant find one( If someone has one original I am interested). So for some strange unknown reason I have been looking at the Savage 110 bear hunter in 375 ruger. So does anyone here have one and can give a honest report on it? To be honest I really dont know anything about the 375 ruger but it seems like Ruger wanted to duplicate 375hh ballistics but out of a 20 inch barrel. A Big..and I mean big, thing to me is mag length to get heavier slugs seated out farther so they arent sitting deep in the case and cutting down powder capacity. Looking on the net I cant find a mag length anywhere but maybe someone can chime in and let me know. Couple of things I like about the savage are that they are stainless,already camo"ed,fluted, are a floorplate model and have some weight to them. I am not a fan of brakes even off the bench, but being able to turn it off is a nice feature.

Thoughts anyone? Real world experience with one ,anyone?
 
I handled a Savage bear hunter in 338WM. Front heavy and underwhelming iron sights. I owned a Mossberg in 375 Ruger and still have a CZ550 in 375H&H. I wanted to like the Savage but it was just too front heavy and clunky to me. The Mossberg was cheap, looked good, and was accurate. Pretty light though. Shooting off the bench building loads was something to undertake deliberately with full commitment. The CZ is heavier, and not nearly as lively. I would own the Mossberg again if there was plenty of $$ around.

I have one. No lightweight by any stretch, (about 9.5lbs with a Leupold 2.5-8×33 VXII .) Add a sling and ammo and its 10 lbs.
BUT, the weight turns the 375 Ruger into a 30-06 recoil wise.
I havent handled the Savage but have owned many similar Savages. They are what they are. Good accurate guns. Not as durable as a Ruger, but certainly decent. Not sure I'd want a 7.5lb 375 Ruger though.......
 
I would take a CZ550 Safari in 375H&H or 416 over any Savage or Ruger. There's a reason most professional guides choose CZ550 over other makes. Ruger is gaining ground though.

the main reason phs use or used the cz550 or the previous version brno 602 was because it was the cheapest available option. in the past it was the model 70 of winchester. some others are using the zastava model 70 version as well. or the previous version made by fn. in fact most of the phs i met used what they can have or find. we had in the camp mark Vs in 460 wea in left hand and right hand for 2 reasons: my boss was an ex ivory hunter and he had a little of history with elephants and never trusted them and second we had a lot of forest hunting where the first reason can be ever worst ... we used as well a mark v in 378 but i never liked it even in the plains.
 
I am not crazy about Savage, I owned a few and I would stay away from bigger calibres, I had a 116 in 338wm every second shot or so the magazine would drop out. I have owned a few 375s in different brands, I had a Ruger Alaskan in 375 Ruger, a Browning X Bolt and a Parker Hale both in 375 H+H, at present I have a Weatherby Vanguard in 375 Ruger. You have to decide for yourself on thinks like push feed versus CRF, durability versus weight etc, I don't like CZ/Brno much I find them too heavy and I do not like the safety or the trigger although I agree they are good rifles . I personally have no preference between 375 Ruger and the H+H. I like my Vanguard because I also have one in 9.3x62 and I like the platform but I would also suggest the Ruger Alaskan as a good choice.
 
I have owned a fair pile of 375’s. My personal favourite is the Ruger RSM, followed by a CZ 550, Winchester M70 and the Ruger Hawkeye. The Savage Brush hunter isn’t terrible, but the first few I listed are far better.
 
I have a Ruger African in 375 Ruger - excellent accuracy, comfortable to shoot without a muzzle brake. I've done extensive load development from the bench and never once wished for a brake. I would highly recommend the Ruger.

the rsm had one big flaw: not available in left hand. the cz550 was with hefty tag close to 2.5 the price of the regular ones ...
 
I've owned a few 375's the h&h the ruger and a RUM I would own a ruger over a H&H any day of the week in a ruger Alaskan. ( just personal preference) and a RUM over any of them! Again (just personal preference) I currently own a Winchester classic that originally started out as a Holland and Holland but was reamed out to 375 RUM and I'll never go back.
