Savage 110 re-barrel

Bottom is 12" long, top is 8", 3" wide, 1" thick, Bolts are 1"x4" 5" on center.

The savages only require a simple bolt head swap. The 110(3 digit)series are the long actions, the 10(two digit)series are the short action models. With a the bolt head he has you could go with ,Edit:but In a newer, true LA 110

Should be good to go, 25-06 is 3.250"

My understanding is that because .243, 6.5 CM, and 7mm-08 all have the same parent case (.308) all you'd need to do to switch calibers between them would be change the barrel, which automatically adjusts for headspace, and that'd be good. No need to fiddle with the bolt head. I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not because I was counting on being able to switch calibers easily.

How thick is the bar material, about one inch? And how long are the upper and lower pieces? If I understand correctly the actual measurement is not critical but a general idea would save me some guess work. I think I can build that myself as well.

I handload for all my rifles with the exception of my 9mm jrc. My hunting ammo will be hand loaded for it soon though

Factory ammo can be ordered in by any retailer that cares about their customers. I'm on first name bases with several.

My understanding is that they are all .473 bolt faces so no bolt change is required.

* I know that the 250 Savage shows a .472 bolt face but I believe that is a very minor error and that the correct measurement is .473.*
