Savage 110 , verses Rem 700 action?

If you have a gunsmith buddy to help you out, I'd say get a Rem 700 action, have him true it and then spin up a cfw barrel for you. Most people have neglected to mention that a Rem prefit won't work on a trued Rem receiver as most trueing processes involve redoing the threads in the receiver. You could just get a new Rem 700 action and spin on a prefit your self without truing the receiver, most of the new ones are known for being quite "true" from the factory.

My friend has sold most of his equipment, still has a lathe but that's pretty much it.

He's hooked on casting lead now. Lol

But he can help me with the prefit, reamers,and whatever else needed.

Maybe the rem would work for me .

They shipped via USPS to me directly, took a week and a half.

The bolt springs were hard to compress, but man does it throw the brass now!
