Thought I would start my own thread, instead of posting in other peoples.
Last month I was looking at picking up a axis or a stevens 200 in 270cal for a deer rifle and maybe a few yotes from time to time. I was also going to get a new trigger and eventually a boyds stock to make it more shooter friendly, if you know what I mean.
After looking around at a few rifles and what not, I found a Savage 111 GCNS for 499. Its got a accutrigger, which I like since I have a savage 17hmr with it, and its got a decent wood stock. Is this rifle a no brainer to buy since I dont really have to mod it up any for ruffly the same price?
And searching around some online it says that it has the "legendary 110 action". They that much better then the axis/stevens action?
thx
