So my wife just bought a Savage 111 in 270 win. There is a slight problem with scope mounting where we can't get it far enough back for her to get a clear focus with her natural stance(even I have to lean forward a bit..and I'm not tiny). Changing scopes will not help unless someone knows a scope with a rather long body as the distance to the front mount is the problem and eye relief is the same as my Leupold M8.
So my questions are as follows:
1) is there a one piece weaver base that extends the scope mounting position back a little ways (say 3/4")? Currently has two piece weaver bases.
2) is there possibly a youth stock available since it will probably still fit her comfortably?(did some quick googling and didn't see anything)
