No FMJ's for hunting game animals in BC.Look into commercial FMJ's if you're planning on keeping the hides
The WRONG bullet will tear up the hhide too muuch.sunray said:It's hard to beat a Savage, any of 'em, for out of the box accuracy. However, the best accuracy will depend on the ammo. If you don't reload, you'll have to try as many brands and bullet weights as you can to find the one or two your rifle shoots best. Don't worry about sighting in until you've found that ammo. Look into commercial FMJ's if you're planning on keeping the hides. Varmint bullets will tear up the hide too much.
BIGREDD said:I disagree with the accuracy statement... I have shot a ton of Savage rifles and they are accurate enough. But they are no more accurate than any other rifle in the price range and certainly not even close to the average Tikka for accuracy. If you want a really accurate and light walking around coyote rifle get a Tikka T-3 lite.
