Savage 12 F/TR Adventures.

Pretty much. A lathe would be nice but a hacksaw and a file will do. I cut the cheek piece out with a $5 coping saw from Princess Auto. For the adjustable rods, I use two 3" long (5/16- 1/4") ss bolts and cut the heads off. A 1/4" aluminum plate and some careful measuring and some more measuring before I saw and drill.

What are you using for a case I can't find anything that's not super expensive or custom to fit at 50" rifle with bipod and scope...how much louder the the break make your rifle... did you notice significant recoil reduction... neighbors are already complaining about the "heavy" gun I am using... they mean 308... lol I don't find it as loud as lets say a 20" tac rifle 308...

I have that berger bullet mat too :) I wish I could take a saw to the F/TR stock buts it to much like a hunting rifle stock...

WOW! Nicely done!

That's some great work!

I use the Airglide case from Plano. Its will hold rifles up to 50". With the brake on its about 2.5" too long. But with the adjustable butt, I remove it and it just fit. With the brake on, its quite a bit louder. It would definately irritate the person shooting next to you. It recoils like a 22-250.
I made the butt adjustable, bc I shoot year around. I can adjust it in and out to compensate for the amount of clothing I have on.

That is very well done. I looked at the pics of your rifles and thought you must have spent a pretty penny to have all the work done, my jaw hit the floor on pg5!
