Savage 12 VLP or Cz 527 Varmint - .223

I am considering either of these 2 rifles as a step up in target shooting from .22. I want to use the .223 round because of cost and availability.Will be shooting 300 yards or less..The savage has twist rates of (1 in 7) & (1 in 9),the CZ is (1 in 9)..

Looking for insight on what grain bullet to use for these twist rates... how they effect accuracy ... and barrel longevity,and any experiences with these models.

Maybe even consider tikka t3 ... 1 in 8 twist

I've owned the Savage VLP, 7" twist, load 80 gr Berger vld's and never look back.

This combo shot ragged holes at 100 and out to 900 meters very well.
