Hi will the clip of these 2 savage model 12's allow for extended bullet seating? I have not bought one of these guns as of yet seems no local shop has one. I know if loading 80 grain I would be seating the bullet out.
 
Forget 80gr with a 1:9 barrel you need at least 1:8. That said the 10FP shoots very well with 75gr BTHP match from Hornady. In order to get the bullet about 10thou off the lands there is no way it will fit in any mag.

When you say forget 80g do you mean these 1:9 savage barrels will not handle larger bullets for hunting accuracy or do you mean for precision grouping.
