Savage 12VSS Varminter - advice

I am thinking of buying a Model 12VSS Varminter in .223. I found one brand new for $849. I love the stock and the heavy barrel, as well as the overall look and feel of the gun.

Does this gun come highly recommended by anyone? I am fairly inexperienced with bolt action rifles, so any advice or opinion on this gun is appreciated.

I have a 12FVSS heavy flutted barrel in 22-250. It's a tack driver and a keeper. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.

Bought a bvss. First trip to the range with some trial loads gave me 3/4" groups and lower( nuff said) . Buy the dam thing and have fun. Life is too short. If you don't like it sell and get something else. Remember we are gun nuts.
