Savage 14 Classic or Rem 700 Classic LTD

Does anyone have any experience with the above rifles in .308? I'm looking for a 7lb bolt action in this calibre, and these two models seemed to fit the bill.

I have a Savage 114U, and its a very nice rifle for the money.
I bought it for my dad last year.
Its a 270 Win, and one heck of a gun for the four hundred and change I paid for it NIB and unfired...
My vote goes for the savage...
