Savage 16 lite weight hunter 7mm08

For all you saying that the wood version or the model 11 was the one as sale.. you're wrong.

A quick search could have shown you it is in fact the model 16 weather warrior on sale right here.. by now there are only a few calibers left so you probably missed out.

Mine should be in this week so maybe I will upload pictures if you still can't believe your eyes...

If it was the lightweight hunter you were after, you are going to be very disappointed. That is the weather warrior 16/116 FCSS series, not the lightweight model. I might know with a 116FCSS sitting in my gun cabinet after all - though that IS a good price for a FCSS.

I wanted the 16 FCSS and that's what I got. It's a great price and I think other people in this thread missed out because they couldn't believe it. I'm taking mine out today :)

People couldn't believe it because they thought you were talking about the stainless lightweight. Which is a whole different beast. Enjoy your rifle, that is a decent price.

I had a chance to shoot the 16 LWH in .223 and that thing was a laser beam. With a Leupold lightweight scope it was lighter than my Ruger .22

Got my load for hunting dialed in. 7mm08 fire formed from lapua 308 brass. Once fired to fire form then neck sized. 45.5 grains h4350 under a 150 nosler ballistic tip seated 0.01 off lands. Fed 210m primer. 2720fps average on the doppler chrono. Well under 1moa to 300 meters.

I had a Kimber Montana... It couldn't shoot even close to any one of my Savages. My LWH in 6.5-284 has killed moose and elk all day. Topped with a 2-7, I don't even put a sling on as its so light and handy it gets in the way.

I've been singing the virtues of this rifle to anyone who would listen, as its very accurate, as Savages tend to be and very nice to hold. The wood model is still much more money on the Savage website. I think because the stock is a lot of money to make for Savage.

I've been looking for 2 6.5 Creedmores for my 2 boys as one is now hitting 12 and will hunt next year. But he'll those are like Unicorns. Maybe the Model 16 will be faster to make so there are more out there.

The Kimber got sold.
