Savage 16FXP3 - good or bad?????

I am thinking about a Savage 16FXP3 package for around 650. Good price??
What about its action is it slopy and slow, will i get a second shoot off??

What province and what kind of landscape?
Bush country: semi-auto,lever or pump.
Clear cuts/open country:A bolt gun is the ticket.
I notice in another thread you are asking what calibre. I"ll wait till I find out if those deer you're after are big Sask mulies or B.C. blacktails

savage good or bad

I'm froom ontario so i'm looking for some white tail, and i would have to say its bush and open country, u can get a little of everthing here.
Mostly i am looking for coyotes but i would like to have something that i can use for deer when up north.

Check out Wholesale sports or S.I.R. for a Savage rifle. Wholesale lists them for $549(accutrigger) and $529(regular).
Since both have blind mags you may want to consider a Stevens 200 and scope it yourself.Make your own package.As for what cartridge I would say pick it with your largest game in mind and then see if you can use it on the smaller stuff.
Maybe .270 or 7mm-08.
