hey i have a savage model 1899 that was given to me for christmas by my girlfriends parents last year. you won't see this gun in the ee because i will probably never get ride of it. it is chambered in 30-30, has the orgional sights, round barrel and shell counter on the left side. also has the famous rotary clip. i killed my second deer with it this year. i like it because i can use the polymer tip or hollow point shells(yes they do make hollow point 3030 shells) with out damaging the tips. it has a pitting on the barrel that i am told was from a jug of apple cider(the kind that get you drunk) that was knocked over and dripped on the gun years and years ago. i was just wondering if anyone can tell me an estimated value of this gun and any fun facts u happen to know about it. im pretty sure its the next model after the 95's.
