Savage 1899 value?

Hi, i have a savage model 1899 or 1895 made in 1918-19 (verified online with serial number)é

Caliber is 303 savage, there is not much marking on the gun. There is a Crescent buttplate wich seems rare because i havent seen much.

No crack, blueing and wood looks good!

I also have 2 box of ammo but i would like to know the value of the rifle first.

Hard to tell from pics but it is a standard 1899 sporting rifle if it has a 26 inch barrel. If so and the bore is good value would be $500 tops with the ammo in my area. And the ammo is worth around $60 a box.

Used to be a popular rifle. Ammo tends to be more expensive as only small companies produce it unless you resize other 303 cartridges. I would agree with Mike that $500.00 is the high end.
