SAVAGE 1899C Don't MIss This One

Here is a very very sweet old lever action that we have been fortunate enough to have come into the store. For all you lever guns nuts this is one you really want to look at.

This is a Savage 1899C in 303 Savage. This rifle was made in 1904 and is not one of the later Model 99 rifles.
It has a 26" inch half round half octagon barrel with very very good bore and rifling.
The action is very smooth and tight. The rifle shows the normal wear you would expect for something of this age
It has the straight grip stock with the crescent steel rifle butt plate. The fore end is a gentle Schnabel tip on it and it has the correct knife edge front sight.
The 303 Savage has been a proven performer for many years and still has large followings in certain areas of the country and especially up north where it's performance on bear and moose is well known.

The price on this rifle is $900 plus shipping and tax, which is more than reasonable for a rarer rifle like this in this kind of shape.
