Hi guys

There is a rifle in my basement that is given me a hard time, it's an old Savage, 1909 slide action (pump) in 22lr cal.

I was given this rifle in parts, and all rusted. I cleaned it, quick reblued and now at the stage to put the stock back on but it was dammage where it hooks up with the receiver. There is no hole in the butstock for a long screw and no collet like a 30-30 close to the receiver to hold it there. I am a bit confused on how to attach it to the rifle. The only thing I found is an old book with a picture of the whole rifle... which doesn't help me lots.

Maybe an exploded view (perfect scenario) or any info would be appreciated.

I will try to post some pictures of it sometimes tomorrow, maybe it would be easier to know what I am talking about.

Thanks

This is without the stock

As you can see, there is no metal ring or collet like on a 30-30 to hold the stock. There is also no hole in the stock for a long screw neither a place to put one..
The stock is grooved to fit the receiver but no way to keep it there, ...

2 other pics

I am also looking for clip and a rear sight, or one that would fit, it's a screw and a groove in the barrel. I guess the sight is not to hard to find but for the clip, it may be a bit harder.--FOUND--

Thanks in advance
