I just picked up a Savage 1915 hammerless in 380 Auto. It has a little bluing wear at the muzzle from being in a holster but overall really nice condition. It came with two magazines.
I was thinking about selling it but not quite sure what to ask for it. I seen them go for a pretty good dollar on other sites. Some as high as $1200.
I know that there a bit rare as they only made about 3900 of them in 380 Auto.
Does any other members have this pistol in 380 Auto? What do you like and hate about it?
If I was to sell what dollar value should I ask for it? I know that I don't have any pictures yet but imagine it being in really nice condition with 2 magazines.
Thanks for the help

I have one of the 1915 Savage pistols. They are the rarest of these pistols, but the value depends on condition. Since there are so few of them, you can ask pretty much whatever you want to, and wait to see what interest there is. One problem is that there are few collectors in Canada, and if that pistol is priced high, it will be of value only to a collector. It is different from the 1907 and 1917, but it was not a successful design in terms of sales, which is why there are so few of them. The magazine and the hold-open device are the significant differences from the other two models, and having two magazines is a real plus. I looked for more than a year to find a second magazine for my 1915. One of the things you might look for is a small band around the chamber. It is often missing because they tended to break and Savage didn't make enough parts to replace them after they stopped manufacture. I can't comment on a specific value. I collect and having one for my collection was important to me. I wouldn't fire it because if you break a part, there are no replacements. If you're looking for a shooter, find something else, and sell the 1915 as a collectible. They do occur more often in the States, and if you look on Gunbroker or some other US site, you might find one or two for sale down there. Good luck with it.
