Savage 200

Hub Sports in Abby ???? I thought they stopped selling guns years ago ???? SIR has them for 299.00 Russels in Calgary for around 340 + - . They are a Savage
by another name and the stocks are a little lack luster but are supposedly quite accurate and over all a sound rifle :D

Anyone have a 250 savage 99A with a 1 in 10 twist? Or anywhere I might find one?I'm interested!

Whole Sale Sports has the for $319 but they are our of 223,22-25,243 & 7-08
They are on back order & should be in soon. I have one reserved. DAN>>> :D

Very accurate. I haven't found a load yet for my .223 that doesn't do at least MOA, and most do considerably better. That's just with factory loads, can't wait to try load development with handloads next spring. :)

What kind of varmints, my 270 with federal ammo is decently accurate 1.25-1.5 for three shots @ 100 but I have only checked one type of ammo and my hand loads will do better. if it is larger varmints thats should be good enough to 300 or so. For high volume like pd's I'd say no thats better suited to a heavy barrel not a sporter. 1 inch is ok for a pd gun but .5 or better is really what is needed if you want to exceed 250 - 300 yards on those little targets

Since your in Montreal I'd imagine varmint means woodchuck, fox or coyotes ? and I would say yes to that, those types of varmint are well suited to a walking weight varminter.

Coyotes. I hate coyotes.
300 yards are the longest shots I would take since I dont think there is any spot that I can see much longer than 300 yards where I hunt.

thanks for the info :)
