Does anyone know it is written on the barrel that it is 3" slugs only?

I have looked around the internet and couldn’t find much on the topic.

I know that the gun has feeding issues while using the 2-3/4" shells; but, will the shorter shells be less accurate or mess up the chamber?

Any help or experience would be greatly appreciated.

One of the reasons that they say to use 3" shells is because when the bolt comes back to grab the next shell to guide it into the chamber, that extra 1/4" helps it get started a little better and the shell does not want to stand the tip up to much. I have had two of them and they both shot better with 2 3/4" shells. One thing to remember though is, do not try and baby the bolt when working it, rack the thing like you mean it. Also, make sure that if you plan on using the Rem Accutips, they seem to have a harder primer than others ant the 210's firing pin may need a tune up from the warranty center. ( I had to send one of mine to Greach Outdoors to have the pin worked on). BTW, If you do plan on feeding it a steady diet of 3" loads, make sure that your fillings are in good cause if not the 210 will sure find it. They are truly good slug guns though, for the $$$.
