What are these rifles like? I am changing my hunting around a lot, and am thinking of getting rid of my 1951 model 94 Win, and getting a .22 mag. I started hunting grouse again after 20 years, and would like a rifle that can look after short range coyotes, and still be legal for grouse. I have no need for the .30-30, as I do all my deer hunting with a muzzleloader , and next year a bow too. The Winchester is probably in the $350-$400, as it is in good shape and has a Lyman reciever sight on it. Should I look at a more expensive rifle or is tha Savage as good as they say. I don't want to spend any money, so what is the best bet? There is the local gun show coming up, and maybe I could do some swapping there.

A new Savage 93 F synthetic just landed on my door step but won't get a chance to shoot her for a few weeks. Can't beat the price - $209.95 plus tax and delivery.
Ammo prices are all over the place tho' - $12 @ a gun show, $10.50 at a loclal gun shop & $8.99 at Canadian Tire.
Also have the same in 17HMR and its a real shooter, so if the 22 WMR is the same, I'll be pretty happy. :D
