I`m picking up a new Savage 220 bolt action in 20 gauge next week and am wondering what folks are using for a scope mount and ring combination. The web is full of lots of ideas but I`m wondering if anyone has some real experience with it. Apparently the scope holes are drilled quite far apart on the receiver, leaving limited options for normal length scope tubes. Savage recommends a EGW weaver rail with mount number 2120 but I`m open to other suggestions. I`ll be using a Leupold 3-9x by 40mm objective.

EGW weaver rail is the way to go. Im looking to get the same gun real soon and have been doin alot of reading on this and this seems to be the best fit and option.
