Savage 23b 25-20

Just as a matter of interest, this is the caliber of rifle that the JORDAN BUCK was taken with in 1914.(?) I think it is still the #2 typical buck, only bested by the Milo Hanson buck from Saskatchewan. I've read the 25-20 had less muzzle energy than a 243 at 800 yards and is not legal for hunting deer in Wisconsin.
Sorry to get off track, just thought you'd like to know. I found it quite interesting.
 
I've had a couple of these, neat little, simple rifle.
IIRC, there are 2 magazine variants, the early model having a one piece (?) extruded mag, the latter a pressed sheet metal mag.
Above values are spot on.
