Savage 24C

Savage 24

I"ve got one in 22 lr / 410

It's great ..nice and light enough to carry at all times for all small game

It will even shoot 410 slugs accuarately with the open sights

I've had mine for many years now ....picked it up used 15 years ago used for 350 $

Keep looking

every now and then they come on the market

I'd stay away from the larger models ( ie: 12 ga / 223 )
( I also had one ...way too heavy to carry all day on a hunt )

Good luck

My good 24 .22/.410 can hit fist sized rocks at 50 yards with slugs and killed a double on Huns flying at 30 yards!Never for sale.........I found some steel cased 3" slugs Bear Soviet made and dam they shoot...............Harold........also have some Soviet buckshot for it but haven't tried them yet.

Just unearthed one in an estate sale... 22lr / 20g beautiful condition!

Very solid piece, I love the oddity of this thing.

I'd love to hold on to it, but I might be tempted to sell at the right price...

Pics to follow

I got mine (22/410) from my dad years ago. It's a cool little gun. Haven't had it out in sooo long I can't remember how the regulation is on it. It's one of my never sell guns.

(E)

As promised:

Savage Model 24S-E 22lr over 20g 2 3/4 and 3inch

It's in beautiful shape, original satin black finish, great wood, super tight lock up and crisp bores!

I don't think it's ever been carried, the only blemish's I can find are in the 3rd from the bottom pic, looks like someone decided to field strip the thing with a few cold ones in them haha... easily reblued to near perfect condition!

I LOVE this thing, it's very well built points nicely and is in astounding shape - plus I've never seen a 24S-E on here before!

Ok, silly question. Does the C mean that it's a 22LR over a .410? Because I use to have one of them, why oh why did I sell it?

there is a 24c sitting in the rimfire EE now, has been for a while. I would have purchased it if i did not already recently purchase one. Just an fyi as i know people are looking for them and this one seems to have slipped through the cracks. I am not connected to this buyer.
