I was at the Carp, Ontario gun show today and was surprised at one of the tables. He had brand new Savage 303 ammo loaded by Hornady. They were 150 grain soft points and the price was a mild $55 for a box of 20. Apparently they are new item coming into canada. Any one else seen these?

I have seen vintage 303 Savage going for $60.00 - $75.00 per twenty. Some people don't relaod and don't shoot a lot but want a box for "Dad's old rifle". I have five boxes of Dominion here and wouldn't take $55.00 per box!
I've been tempted a few times to snag a Savage 99 in this caliber but the ammo situation is definitely a problem.From what I see $55.00 a box would be a really good price.Easy to reload once you have an assortment to work with though.I still have a partial box of 190 grain WW Silvertips that were made for this round but I ended up loading them for a hunting buddy into 300 Savage instead.
Ya and + the shipping. I will check out Canada ammo first. The older winchester 190 grain silver tip in the super x red&white box is going between$75 and $90 a box around these parts at the shows.
That is good news for owners of this caliber for sure.Probably won't last long at that price I bet.
and the prices I see at Budget Ammo Well you decide which of the sellers is nicer
