I did some trading and some selling and picked myself up this. I'm not too fond of the Cam job, a little Krylon will cure that though.

Yes the scope sits a little  high. I'll get appropriate rings when I decide which scope is going to sit on it permenantly. That cheap Harris clone has to go too, but it works for now. It looks like it's going to be a good one.

Frist two groups with reloads for my Norinco. 168 gr Hornady Match and 39.5 gr H4895. COL was 2.800".

It's not all great though. The mag fit is a little sloppy and it hasn't been feeding reliably. Has anyone heard about a similar problem? I'll be contacting Savage later today, but if it's a common problem I'd rather know the solution before I call.

I've had no problems with the mag on my FCP-SR! I threw a cheap Tasco Varmint scope on mine just for now and the damn thing is shooting like a dream! Mine has some problems extracting certain rounds though after firing, but only one brand.

Nice to have another one on the forum. That's three confirm owners so far :D

I owe it all to you. It was answering your thread about that rifle at Epps that got me looking at this rifle.

If you get the chance can you take your caliper (assuming you have one) and measure the dimensions at the top of the mag?

Sure thing I get off work in 8 hours so if you shoot me a PM in 7 hours I'll remember to do it as soon as I get home :D

My muzzle brake and rings are on the way from Mystic Precision. I will take mine out for a spin after I get my scope mounted. For starters I`m going to run my Norinco 7.62x51 through it and see how it handles cheap ammo!! That will be interesting for sure.

I found out mine does NOT like WCC88 ammo (Western Cartridge Company). Someone told me it's milsurp stuff.

If you want to sell the bipod, let me know how much you want for it.

Going to put it on a .22?

I bought a cheap chinese Harris clone, took it off my .22 and put it on my Remington 700 VTR in .308. 10 or so shots later the thing exploded (and I literally mean exploded) and showered my face in flying metal parts.

I have one that I use on both my .22WMR and .223. I find that it works very well, I have not had a single issue with it yet.

Excuse my ignorance but why not a flash hider instead of a brake?

No need to reduce the muzzle flash at the range. The brake should be more effective at reducing recoil and is therefore worth the money and time screwing it on. Also aren't flash supressors now restricted from export state side?

Which muzzle break did you get? The rifle is so damn heavy I barely notice the recoil anyways.

I had a muzzle break on my Remington 700 VTR and the damn thing was WAY louder than a normal Remington 700 :D

Yes I know but some of them look so cool. What I don't like about the brake is the noise!!! I believe you are right about import/export restrictions :(
