Saw these at the Orangeville gun show. They look good and have ghost ring sites. Very inexpensive . But are they any good . Couldn't find any posts on them. Apparently based on the Ithaca 37. Thanks
 
Like most chinese guns they are good to inspect in person for obvious defects but they tend to work pretty well and with a bit of finetuning are good value! Heavier then an Ithaca, dual action bars, Good sights.
 
There is a thread on the Stevens shotguns in general, not the security model specifically. Some have had no problems, others like myself were not so happy. My security model with ghost ring sights had a few cycling issues and then completely sh!t the bed after no more than 300rds
 
Me and a friend were in Winnipeg and we each picked one up at cabelas, $279.99 I paid and my friend got the display for that less 10%. Funny thing is that his is a 4+1 capacity and mine is 5+1. Mag tube is definatly smaller on his than on mine. Also his stock is like ruberized while mine is just plain synthetic. Either way, we striped them both down and cleaned everything out, oiled it and they are both smooth as butter. I have 100 rounds through mine so far and not one hickup. We put 25 rounds through his and not a problem.

I'm trying to track down the longer barrel for it though and maybe any sort of accessory, ie different butt stock if anyone has any sources.
 
From what I have researched online yes they do. But I have not tried to swap anything out. Choate makes a pistol grip side folding stock for the Ithaca 37 that "suposedly" fits but again, I have not tried to fit one.

I'd be interested in a wood plus stock or an old Ithaca stock. I'd rather spend the dollars for a new production Ithaca though if I had to start adding more money for furniture. The stock on these Chinese versions is kinda funny looking. Weird lines to it.
 
The forends from an Ithaca definitely do not fit.(dual action bars vs single) The stocks may although not perfectly, and the Chinese guns use metric bolts vs SAE on Ithaca.
They're not identical.
