Savage 64 Disassembly question

^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^ 100%

run em dry, only use good round nose bullets!!!! (feeding issues are the biggest downfall of the rifle IMO), accuracy of the 64 will put most 10/22 to shame

mind you; i sold my 64 for a 10/22, sacraficed accuracy for reliability

My cooey was more accurate then my 64..

I plan on only using round nose ammo because I heard the 64 likes it most.
I know how to clean and disassemble the 64, YouTube, internet an CGN members have informed me how to. My question was more
Concerning how to disengage the trigger without dry firing.

you are correct

i sill have grandpa's old model 60 (bolt action)
best .22 shooter i got
but there are even better out there
problem is the $$$ they want for em
was just comparing 64 to the 10/22 so ppl could get an understanding on accuracy
as 10/22 is prob the most common .22 out there, and everyone knows how they shoot

I paid 80$ last year for a Ranger and end up being a Cooey 78 with peep sights, In Excellent Cond. I sold my other ranger that needed a bolt and paid for the Ranger I bought.

But I was less then impressed with the accuracy of the 64 HB. It was more of why 2 or 3 shots would always shoot lower then the rest of the group. It would show that same problem at any range. It shot no different then a non heavy barrel.
